An earthquake measuring 3.8 magnitude struck the western part of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday afternoon, an official bulletin said.
A report by the National Center for Seismology revealed that the latest earthquake was recorded at 12:12 p.m., with the epicenter at West Kameng near the Bhutanese border at a depth of 10 km.
Tremors were felt in central-northern Assam and eastern Bhutan.
No injuries or property damage were immediately reported, officials said.
The northeastern region falls into a highly seismic zone, so earthquakes are a frequent occurrence.
